Our Story
Shaylee Strawberries is located on the Atherton Tablelands (700 metres above sea level) between Atherton and Yungaburra. Shaylee’s rich red volcanic soil and temperate weather conditions are just right for the cultivation of large succulent strawberries
Shaylee was established in 1985 and specialises in supplying the North Queensland catering industry with delicious strawberries during our season which is July to November - this is our 3rd season having taken over the farm from family
We appreciate all of the support that we receive from our community and can't wait to see you this season for fresh strawberries and PICK YOUR OWN!

What is it like to work with us?
Open 7 days – Our shop operates 9-4
We pick from early morning until mid-afternoon
We pick our strawberries every second day and we have 2 teams picking & packing
Local hostels in Atherton & Mareeba offer a bus pick up and drop off service to our farm
You will need to have your own transport if you’re not staying with a hostel
The business is renovating and building a café style eating area and our daughters have moved back to working on the farm and will contribute to this retail side of the business.
The shop is open all year round and we make a years’ worth of strawberry supplies in the strawberry season!
As a small farm, we can offer you variety in the work you do – not just picking and packing strawberries
Our season runs from July through to November
