Membership of the QSGA is open to all commercial strawberry producers (ordinary members), plant nurseries (propagators) and businesses/individuals who service and support the strawberry industry (associate members).
From 1 January 2024 there is a new Membership available:
Legacy Member – Shall be any individual, corporation or partnership who has ceased engagement or operation in the commercial production of strawberry fruit in Queensland. The approved Legacy Member will automatically have voting rights and eligibility to be elected to the Management Committee for the first three years. After this time, the member will need to apply to the Management Committee on a year-by-year basis, prior to the AGM, to satisfy the criteria set by the Management Committee for them to continue to hold voting and election rights to the Management Committee and Office-Bearing positions.
Please note: The Membership year for QSGA runs from 1 January to 31 December.
Ordinary Membership – $165 (Growers only)
Not only does your membership fee contribute to promoting the industry and supporting the operations of the Industry Development Officer, but as a member, you have the added value of the following:

- The ability to be heard and have a direct influence on the direction of the industry

Legacy Membership – FREE (Growers only)
As a member, you have the added value of the following:
- The opportunity to vote on key issues at the general meetings and be an office holder on the Management Committee
- The ability to still be heard and have an influence on the direction of the industry
- Direct access to an organisation that aims to continually improve the communication network and distribution of relevant information to members
- A united community of growers and businesses associated with the industry that can work towards common goals and has a strong, combined voice when lobbying government and market leaders to help ensure the success of all businesses within the strawberry industry
Please Note: If you are an existing Grower Member who is no longer growing you can switch your membership to become a Legacy Member for FREE when you renew your membership.
Associate Membership – $220 (Associated businesses or Individuals)
Associate memberships are open to individuals, businesses and enterprises which service and support the strawberry industry. Benefits include:
- The opportunity to present on key issues at the general meetings
- The ability to be heard and have a direct influence on the direction of the industry
- Direct access to an organisation that aims to continually improve the communication network and distribution of relevant information to members
- A united community of growers and businesses associated with the industry that can work towards common goals and has a strong, combined voice when lobbying government and market leaders to help ensure the success of all businesses within the strawberry industry
- Priority access to engagement opportunities at industry events
- Ability to provide promotions direct to growers via the QSGA office
- A copy of the Australian Berry Journal by post each quarter

Propagator Membership – $165
Propagator memberships are open to nurseries who provide runner plants and plug plants into the Queensland strawberry industry. Benefits include:
- The opportunity to present on key issues at the general meetings
- The ability to be heard and have a direct influence on the direction of the industry
- Direct access to an organisation that aims to continually improve the communication network and distribution of relevant information to members
- A united community of growers and businesses associated with the industry that can work towards common goals and has a strong, combined voice when lobbying government and market leaders to help ensure the success of all businesses within the strawberry industry
- Priority access to engagement opportunities at industry events
- Ability to provide promotions directly to growers via the QSGA office
- A single copy of the Australian Berry Journal by post each quarter
- A “paid in full” tax invoice will be emailed to you upon receipt of your membership fee
